What we collect
- Account data — if you register: name, email, handle, and content you post (comments, Voices reports, favorites).
- Usage data — pages/stories viewed, approximate location (country/city from IP), device and browser type, referring page, and how long you stay — collected via Google Analytics (GA4) on the website.
- Technical data — IP address, cookies/local storage identifiers, and standard server logs.

Necessary cookies always run, since the site can't function without them. Analytics cookies only run after you accept them in the cookie banner — until then, Google Analytics loads in a consent-aware ("cookieless ping") mode that doesn't set tracking cookies. You can change your choice at any time — see the "Manage cookies" link in the footer.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which stories and pages people read, in aggregate. Google may process this data per its own Privacy Policy. You can opt out globally using Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on, in addition to declining analytics cookies in our banner.
Why we collect this
- To run your account, comments, and Voices reports.
- To understand what's being read so we can cover it better.
- To keep the service secure and diagnose problems.
- To meet legal obligations where they apply.
Sharing
We don't sell your data. It's shared only with the infrastructure/service providers that run T.A.M (hosting, email delivery, Google Analytics) strictly to operate the service, and where required by law.
Your choices
- Accept or decline analytics cookies via the banner, or change your choice later from the footer link.
- Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account data by emailing us below.
- Delete your account at any time from your profile.
Retention
Account data is kept while your account is active. Published news content (stories, citations, weightage) is retained indefinitely as an archive, independent of any individual account.
