Businesslike by day, clubby come evening, this Levantine den excels in abundance. Celebrating a workplace win? Big birthday? Bring buddies and a robust appetite: Maha’s mod Middle Eastern menus are nothing if not lavish, often peaking with the restaurant’s signature 12-hour lamb shoulder that practically melts into fragrant rice pilaf.

Set menus begin with a prolific spread of mezze on custom ceramics that show off the season’s bounty, but there’s always warm, plump zaatar-dusted flatbread and hummus that’s as smooth as the beats pumping through the speakers. Little Lebanese dumplings steal the show, though, licked with tangy, airy toum and crowned by spanner crab.

Exuberant staff are mostly fast on their feet, weaving past black leather-topped tables under soft golden lights to deliver dishes and spiels, cocktails and splash-out wines. Can’t squeeze in another bite? Perhaps you can: Persian-accented pistachio-choc mousse makes a blessedly petite finale.

Good to know: Prefer a la carte? It’s now an option at dinner, Sunday to Thursday, and lunch daily.
