Oscar winners Bardem, Cotillard and Redgrave join voice cast of animated film ‘The Turning Door’

The upcoming family‑fantasy animated feature “The Turning Door” has added three Academy Award winners to its voice cast. Javier Bardem, Marion Cotillard and Vanessa Redgrave will provide starring voice performances in the film.

In addition to the Oscar‑winning trio, Swedish composer Anna von Hausswolff has been confirmed as part of the cast, and newcomer Pippa Kelly will voice the young heroine Ariadlyn. The film’s producers have highlighted Kelly’s role as the central character around whom the story revolves.

Earlier announcements had already listed a roster of established actors, including Alicia Vikander, Jamie Dornan, Jodie Turner‑Smith, Bill Nighy and Gillian Anderson, all of whom are set to voice additional characters in the project.

“The Turning Door” is written and directed by filmmaker and artist Nicholas Ashe Bateman, whose previous work includes the animated feature “The Wanting Mare.” The production is being handled by Mister Smith Entertainment, which is presenting the film to potential buyers at the Toronto International Film Festival’s market segment, TIFF: The Market.

With a blend of veteran talent and new voices, the animated feature is positioned as a family‑oriented fantasy that aims to combine a compelling narrative with a high‑profile international cast.
