Fox News announced on Thursday that Maria Bartiromo will leave the network and Fox Business Network effective immediately, ending a tenure that spanned more than 12 years. In a statement, the company thanked Bartiromo for her work over the last 12½ years and said it wishes her “all the best on her next chapter.”
Bartiromo’s final episode of “Mornings With Maria” aired on Thursday, and she has not appeared on any Fox channel since early August. The network did not provide a specific reason for her departure, describing the exit as sudden and unexpected.
Following the announcement, Fox News Media said the morning slot will be filled by “Mornings With Fox Business,” which will feature rotating anchors beginning Friday. The weekly program “Maria Bartiromo’s Wall Street” will be rebranded as “FBN’s Wall Street,” with Cheryl Casone and other rotating hosts taking over after this week. Fox Business also indicated that a new weekday programming schedule will be announced in the coming weeks.
In addition to the morning changes, Fox News Channel’s Sunday program “Morning Futures” (10‑11 a.m. ET) will be hosted by former congressman Jason Chaffetz on Sunday, with a permanent host to be named later.
The abrupt nature of Bartiromo’s exit echoes the network’s earlier surprise removal of primetime host Tucker Carlson, highlighting that while Fox News typically maintains a stable on‑air lineup, changes to its roster can be significant when they occur.
