Donald Trump's childhood home in Queens sold for nearly $2 million

The childhood home of President Donald Trump, located in the Jamaica Estates neighborhood of Queens, New York, has been sold for approximately $2 million. The Tudor-style residence, situated on Wareham Place, served as the future president's home until he was four years old. Following his initial election in 2016, the property underwent various transitions, including a period as an Airbnb listing featuring a cardboard cutout of the president, before eventually falling into a state of disrepair.

The property had suffered from significant neglect, including water damage and mold resulting from a burst pipe, and had reportedly become a shelter for a colony of feral cats. In March 2025, real estate developer Tommy Lin purchased the home for $835,000, a price noted as a significant discount due to the building's vacant and deteriorated condition.

Following the acquisition, the house underwent a full gut renovation, which included the installation of a new chef’s kitchen and herringbone flooring. The five-bedroom, three-bathroom home was placed back on the market in November with an asking price of $2.3 million. Real estate records and the buyer’s agent confirm that the sale was finalized on September 10 for $1.93 million.

The identity of the buyer has not been publicly disclosed. According to Gerald Magny, an agent with RE/MAX Edge who represented the purchaser, the new owner intends to reside in the home long-term and prefers to remain anonymous.

Magny stated that he does not believe political factors influenced the transaction. He noted that the buyer was primarily attracted to the quality of the renovations performed on the property, suggesting that the historical association with the former president did not necessarily serve as a contributing factor to the sale.
