Survivors File Class Action Lawsuit Against Jeffrey Epstein Estate

Two women who were featured as minors in child sexual abuse material seized from Jeffrey Epstein have filed a class action lawsuit against the late financier’s estate. The complaint, filed in Manhattan federal district court on September 16, seeks at least $6 million in damages on behalf of more than 40 individuals who were allegedly exploited through the creation or possession of such imagery.

The legal action targets the co-executors of the Epstein estate, former attorney Darren Indyke and former accountant Richard Kahn. The lawsuit aims to extend the scope of legal accountability for the estate beyond the women who have previously brought claims regarding sexual assaults, focusing instead on those whose images were captured, obtained, or distributed by Epstein and his associates.

According to the court filing, the affected individuals include people who appeared in a collection referred to as Epstein’s "modelling book." This collection of sexualized images of children was among the materials seized by federal investigators during a 2019 raid on his New York residence. The lawsuit further notes that other victims were identified within thousands of videos and images of child sexual abuse material recovered from the financier’s various properties.

The filing alleges that in some instances, the images of these victims were distributed to other parties. One of the plaintiffs, identified in court documents as Jane Doe, alleges that Epstein stole images of her.

Legal representatives for the estate’s co-executors have provided limited responses to the filing. Daniel Weiner, an attorney representing Darren Indyke, declined to comment on the lawsuit. An attorney for Richard Kahn did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
