11‑year‑old boy dies after being shot in north‑west Sydney apartment
Police say an 11‑year‑old boy was shot in the head at a home in Sydney’s north‑west and died several days later. Investigators are examining whether the gun, which was illegal, was handled by the boy and discharged accidentally.

A young boy has died after allegedly being shot in the face at a Norwest unit in Sydney's north-west on Monday.
Police were called to the scene at about 5 pm that night and found the boy had sustained a gunshot wound to his face and neck.
The boy was treated by paramedics and taken to hospital in a critical condition.
NSW Police said he died around 8 pm on Thursday.
Five other people were in the unit on Monday but were not injured.
Three 18-year-olds were arrested by police but two were later released pending further inquiries.
The third man has been charged with concealing a serious indictable offence and remains before the courts.
The investigation is continuing.
