Tamera Mowry-Housley Boards ‘Scrubs’ Season 2

Tamera Mowry‑Housley has been added to the cast of the ABC sitcom “Scrubs” for its upcoming second season. The actress, known for her work on “Sister, Sister” and “Twitches,” will appear as a guest star in the revival of the series.

Mowry‑Housley’s character is Dr. Steffie, a pediatric physician who is introduced to encourage a younger doctor to consider a career in pediatrics. In the episode, Dr. Steffie attempts to persuade Tosh, a medical resident played by Ava Bunn, to select pediatrics as her specialty.

The second season of the 30‑minute “Scrubs” reboot will launch with a two‑episode premiere. Both episodes are scheduled to air on Wednesday, September 30, at 8:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (and simultaneously on the Pacific schedule).
