Investigation under way after dead body found in inner-city

Police have launched an investigation following the discovery of a body in the inner-city suburb of Kangaroo Point on Friday.

Authorities were alerted to the situation shortly after 11.50am when reports were received regarding an unresponsive person located on Lambert Street.

Emergency services arrived at the scene following the initial report. Upon their arrival, the individual was declared dead.

A statement released by police confirmed that the death is currently being treated as sudden.

Officers remain on the scene as they work to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
