Alleged gunman among three charged over student’s mistaken identity murder
Two men and a 16-year-old boy are the latest arrests over the alleged botched organised crime killing of innocent university student Marco Tapia, 23, in his Sydney home.

About 9am on Tuesday, detectives arrested another 16-year-old boy and two men, aged 22 and 23, in the town of Junee, about 400 kilometres south-west of Sydney in NSW’s Riverina.
“Detectives will allege in court the three males – one allegedly armed with a pistol – entered the home and confronted Mr Tapia, before he was fatally shot,” NSW Police said in a statement on Wednesday.
The trio were taken to Wagga Wagga police station and each charged with murder, two counts of special aggravated break and enter commit serious indictable offence with a weapon, and possessing an unauthorised prohibited firearm.
All three were refused police bail. The two men will face a bail court on Wednesday and the 16-year-old will appear in a children’s court.
