Gold Coast man charged over alleged display of Nazi symbols
A man from the Gold Coast has been charged by police for allegedly posting prohibited Nazi symbols online. Authorities further allege that the individual shared white supremacist, nationalist, and anti-LGBTQIA+ content on social media.

Federal Police searched the 49-year-old man’s Mudgeeraba home on Wednesday, seizing a mobile phone.
An AFP spokespersons said their investigation began in June, after officers found a social media account allegedly posting Nazi symbols and racist, white supremacist, nationalist and anti-LGBTQIA+ content online as well.
The man was given a notice to appear in court, and is expected to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court on November 16.
The charge comes with a maximum sentence of five years imprisonment.
