OpenAI says it has parted ways with three researchers, who the company said violated its policies for sharing sensitive information. OpenAI has faced pressure both internally and externally over its handling of AI-related safety issues, following its disclosure that rogue agents hacked into Hugging Face after breaching a secure testing environment that was not supposed to allow for internet access. The company recently said it supported independent assessments of safety cases, an idea that has gained increasing support across the industry.
