Frank G. Mancuso Sr., a veteran film studio executive who led both Paramount Pictures and Metro‑Goldwyn‑Mayer/United Artists, died on Thursday, October 1, at his home in Los Angeles. He was 93 years old and died from complications of cancer, according to a statement from his family.
Mancuso’s tenure as a studio chief spanned more than a decade. He succeeded Barry Diller at Paramount in 1984 and later took over from Alan Ladd Jr. at MGM/UA in 1993, serving a total of 13 years in top leadership roles across the two companies.
