Two more teenagers have been charged with the murder of a 21-year-old man at a party in Logan earlier this year, bringing the total number of people charged over the death to 11.

Redbank Plains man Jongkuch Kur Jongkuch, 21, died in hospital in early August after succumbing to head injuries suffered at the party in Bahrs Scrub, a suburb in Logan, on July 26.

Four teenagers aged between 18 and 19 were arrested and charged with murder in the days following Kur Jongkuch’s death.

On Thursday, police confirmed detectives had charged two more people with murder: an 18-year-old Goodna man and a 19-year-old Logan Reserve man.

The Goodna man will appear at Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Friday, and the Logan Reserve man is expected to face the Brisbane Magistrates Court also on Friday.

On the night of the alleged assault, police were called to an address on Discovery Boulevard just after 2am following reports of a large disturbance. They found a house and vehicles along the street with significant damage.

People fled the scene as police arrived. Kur Jongkuch was discovered with significant head injuries on a nearby street and rushed to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition.

He died after his life support was switched off less than a week later.

Detectives from the Logan Criminal Investigation Branch and the Homicide Investigation Unit executed 14 simultaneous search warrants across Logan, South Brisbane and Ipswich on August 6.

Two 18-year-olds from Collingwood Park and MacGregor, and two 19-year-olds from Doolandella and Inala were arrested and charged with murder.

Four more teenagers – from Acacia Ridge, Sunnybank, Inala and Doolandella – were charged with murder on August 9.

A 17-year-old Inala teen was charged with murder more than a month later.

Police thanked residents and community leaders who worked with investigators and provided information.
